So...Its been a while...

Its been quite a while since I have blogged...I always forget to blog, or if I remember there is nothing going on in my life that I would say is "Blog Worthy." So this semester is in full swing now! The homework is really starting to pick up, and I do not care for it one bit! But I do not think I have ever liked doing my homework. I am learning a lot about Utah though. Geography of Utah and History of Utah will do that for you!

Valentine's Day has come and gone for this year...THANK GOODNESS!!! I absolutely HATE Valentine's Day!!! Being a florist has ruined it for life. I got sick right before it too...making it extra miserable. This year we didn't have to work till 1 a.m. though, which was EXTREMELY nice!!! I can't wait for the Valentine's Day that I am not playing in the flowers!

So did you know that it is not very fun to hit a deer with your car? Ya, I learned that this weekend! Danielle and I went to put gas in my car Friday night, then we were going to go on a little drive...well after putting gas in my car (which was not cheep at all...DANG GAS PRICES!!!) we started to drive down main street in Cedar City. Out of the corner of my eye I saw what I thought was a dog running into the road and I slowed down and tried to get into the other lane...Well I wasn't fast enough and BAM!!! I ran into the stupid deer, it came up on to my hood and I said choice words as Danielle let out a big scream! The deer then ran away. We pulled off onto the side of the road, Danielle called the cops and I called my parents. While waiting for the cops, we heard another car hit the same deer! This deer was suicidal!!! The deer is now dead, my car is dented, and I now hate deer! It turned what was to be a awesome girls night into a horrible night! I was surprised at how little damage was done to my car, it could have been so much worse. We were so lucky! Adam came and rescued us, he has now had to rescue me twice...I should make him cookies! Tyler and Kristen came up to make sure I was alright, it made me feel so much better!

The best thing that has happened so far this semester is that on February 2 I became an Aunt when little Porter Rustin Harris came into the world! He is such a pretty little baby boy! I love him so much! I love being an aunt to more than just a dog. I can't wait to go back to see him.

So that is a little of what has been going on lately. I skipped a lot, but that's all I could think of right now. Hopefully the next post will be sooner rather than later...but I can not make any promises right now! :)

End of the Semester

So the semester is FINALLY over with! Woot Woot!!! This has been a pretty tough semester, and the sad thing is next semester will be even harder! Oh well, hopefully it will be worth it in the end. I am so so so excited for Christmas break, it will be epic! One of my BFFs Jenny will be back in Cedar, so we have plans to PARTY!!! Some of the highlights of the semester were:

• Library dates with Danielle...even though We never got that much done!
• Spending countless hours in the library...I almost pack my suit case to camp out there for a week!
• Spending every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the living room for an hour with Michelle and Josh. We totally should have our own talk show! We totally can solve all the worlds problems. Ha Ha
• Ashleigh and I talking about how much we HATE our SPED class...Our professor is the DEVIL!!!
• Filling out my study guide with Norm for our psychology class, and calling our professor Wonka...He seriously looks like Willy Wonka! (old version, not Jonny Depp)
• Getting to see my brother Tyler play football most weekends!
• Playing on the slot machines in Vegas for the first time! I lost $2 but it was so worth it!
  
• Waking up in the morning to find loads of snow on my car :(
• Scraping that lovely frost off my windshield, making me late for class...yet again
• Walking in 20 minutes late to classes everyday for the last week of classes!
• Driving around Cedar City wasting my gas, but having so much fun with friends!
• The new quote wall in our living room...if only people knew the real meaning behind most of them! ha ha
• The fun times when Jenny would come down and see me and Danielle!
• Danielle and I introducing ourselves to the freshman together..."Hi I'm Danielle, Hi I'm Danielle" ha ha we got so many confused looks! But hey it is our name!
• Friday night dinner with Jessica Stoneman...its basically our weekly ritual!
  
• FINALLY telling someone off. (only a few of you will get this one)
• Buying a new umbrella...it was a life saver to my hair!
• Jessica and I making fun of one of our favorite Facebook friends...

I am sure there were many highlights over this semester that I cannot remember...I should really keep a journal or something, but who has time for that? I am really not looking forward to next semester, but the sooner it comes, the sooner it goes, and then SUMMER!!! I am ready to wear my flip-flops again! I ended this semester with a "Congratulations you made it to the end of the semester" present to myself, it was a little trip to St. George to get a pedicure! It was pretty much the best time of my life! I highly recommend getting one! Plus Jamie painted my toes extremely cute! Red SPARKLY Toes, Green and White Dots, and Ho Ho Ho on one toe, and a cute Christmas Tree on the other! They are so cute I never want to take them off! I decided to make a after the semester pedicure present a tradition...after all I did work very hard!

Christmas break so far has been good, Jessica and I have been hanging out a lot...we have not done that much, but we are taking a much needed break! I am so excited to go home for Christmas! I just LOVE Christmas! I am excited to see my family, eat lots of good food, get presents, and not have to do anything! I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!!!

Humboldt!!!!

So this past weekend My Momma, Kristen (Tyler's Girlfriend) and I went to Arcata, California to watch Tyler's football game! We had a lot of fun, however the people up there are pretty strange! Some of the interesting things were:

• Everyone talking about POT and GETTING HIGH!!! (apparently its like the pot capital of America!)
• The guy who got us our rental car (who also talked about pot) had fingernails longer than my Mom! and she has pretty long fingernails! It was pretty much disgusting!
• The funny sign we got when we flew into Arcata at midnight, It said that Bob would be a little late! ha ha oh Bob!
  
• The lady that checked us in and out of our hotel (yes she talked about pot too!) told good luck with our hair, and that we would have the "Humboldt Friz" She said that they all look like there on drugs, but they are not...I beg to differ! Oh and when we check out she told us that we in fact did have the "Humboldt Friz" I wanted to ask her if that was just a nice way of saying we looked like crap!
  
• We went to the mall to kill some time, we saw some pretty interesting people there...including a woman walking around the mall BREAST FEEDING!!! YUCK!!! Please people do that in private!!!
• The pillows in the hotel were interesting, they were more like through pillows! ha ha!
  
• When we were leaving the wonderful people in security at the extremely small airport let my Kristen go through with my mom's ticket, and Kristen went through with my moms! Yep they felt safe! I also went the whole trip with the name Daniells Harris, Not Danielle Harris!
  
• Kristen was mistaken for Miley Cyrus!
  

Even though it was interesting we still had so much fun! The good parts were:

• Being with my Mama! She is the Best!!! Love her!!!
• Kristen is pretty much awesome! Tyler has the best girlfriend ever!!!
• Flying is pretty fun, and the good thing is I didn't get sick this time!!! (Thanks to almost a whole bottle of Dramamine! That stuff is AMAZING!!!)
• The lady that I sat by at the football game was really nice! Even is she did cheer for Humboldt! She did cheer a couple of times for Dixie, because I told her my brother played for them! She also told me she had been to Cedar City! Small World!!!
• My Mom bought her me and Kristen semi-matching pajamas! We slept in STYLE!!!
• Thank Goodness for GPS on our phones...I think we would still be trying to find the mall if it were not for them, not to mention all the other places we visited!
• I got to gamble for the first time in the Las Vegas Airport!!! It was so AWESOME!!! I lost 2 dollars and had no idea what I was doing but it was still so fun!!!
• Waking up at 2:50 Sunday morning was AWESOME!!! Oh wait no that really sucked!!!
• It was so pretty and green there!
  

The trip was way fun, and we have some of the best memories!!! Even though they lost Tyler played great, I just felt bad they had to ride a bus for 23 HOURS!!! (sitting by the bathroom, Braeden said it smelt like boiling pee the whole time!) I am sure there are many things I am leaving out but I will also put picture on! However I have no desire to ever go to Northern California ever again! Ha Ha Sorry!!!

Back to School...YUCK!!!

So Classes have officially begun and I miss summer!!! I really wish that I had a couple more weeks to just do nothing. Oh well life does not work out that way! This semester includes History, Psychology, Sociology, Secondary Education, and Special Education. Total that is 15 credits, and I have NEVER taken that many before! Hopefully I can pass them all! (sociology is my enemy right now!) I can already tell there will not be much time for a social life! :( Tuition- $2400ish, Books- $420ish A good education that will pay off in the long run =PRICELESS!!! (lets hope anyways!)

The first week of classes is known as Welcome Week. I have already been to the Meet Your Religious Leaders event. I already know who they are, but there was free food and hey a night that i do not have to cook is awesome! Also i got a free water bottle which is awesome too!

So homework has officially taken over my life! Ugh I am afraid that I wont get a social life this semester! I have friends in most of my classes, which will be a life saver come test time! Can anyone say Study Party? The only class that I do not know anyone in is my Sociology class, but we will not be having tests in there...just Awful AWFUL PAPERS!!! But I have made new friends in my classes (which is always a good thing!) and I am getting to know some others better! I find myself being in classes with a lot of the same people. Hopefully I can survive this semester!

Oh and as a side note, I always knew it was a small world but lately I have found out how small it actually is! Either that or the universe is trying to play a bad joke on me!!!

Goodbye Summer...See You Next Year!

Summer has basically come to an end! SAD DAY!!! It has been an epic summer!!! I really do not want school to start, well its mostly the homework part of it that is going to suck. I am hoping that I will still have a really fun social life. The last little bit of summer we have done so many things! We went to Spencer and Jamie's wedding reception, which was way fun! I still can not believe that Spencer is married! Other fun things have included:

• Random nights in the Hot Tub!
• Many Many Movie Nights!
• Sheep Tunnels
• Cardboard Box Sledding (that one did not work out to well, but it was fun trying!)
• Playing Office Clue (I totally won it!)
• Late night girl talks
• Waxing Jenny and Jody
• Trying to avoid annoying people, but hanging out with them at the end of the night anyways because there was nothing better to do...
• Pulling Pranks
  

There is more stuff but I can not think of anything else at the moment. I am going to miss so much about this summer! I have had the greatest friends anyone could ask for and we have made so many good memories!
